My Blogging Experience!

I have to say that i had never written a blogs and less in English. It was a new experience and it was fun and dynamic like when we had to put pictures or images in the blogs. At first it was hard to express the ideas of the different topics. For example, when the topics were about things like personal experiences, as write about travels, or the short biography, it was kinda easy to do the blog, but when the blogs were about give our opinion, it was more difficult to me to do the activity.

I think that this kind of activities are fruitfully, I mean, I learn more words in English andis more easy to express something in this language. Also I believe that I can think in English with more ease and this let me to express myself more easily when I write in English.

I would have liked to write about more topics of personal opinions, because is hard tome to express this type of topics in English and in Spanish. It could have been topics like politics, religion or some trending topic.

 To end, I will write that my favourite blog was “Music”, i just love music <3.

Travels!

The travel that i have most enjoyed was when i went to Coquimbo in 2014. Actually i go to Coquimbo every year except this year ‘cause i went to Villarrica. Anyway, i remember that in 2014 was especial because all my family, included my uncles and cousins, went to the travel that year. Until my dog went to the beach that year.

As there were many people, we had to rent a big house with many beds. It was difficult to find a house that carried with our requirements, but after hours loocking a house, we found the perfect place in “La Herradura”.

All the time that we go to Coquimbo, we stay just one week and we try to go every day to “Totoralillo” that is the best beach and we love it, because is so beautiful with is white sand and big waves, is perfect for do surf. Also, the food there is delicious and the seafood is fresh and perfect. However, the beach is kinda small so it full so quickly, and sometimes is uncomfortable to be so near to other people but we still love this beach.

A Subject I've enjoyed studying this semester.

The chemical laboratories is the matter that i have enjoyed studying this semester in the university. This course is practical and i had never worked in a laboratory in my life. I choose this matter because the Schedule was new for me and i liked so much to learn how to use all the instruments in the laboratory and the teachers in this course are so patients and kind when they explained how to do the activities in the practical classes and always helped in anytime as well the assistant of the laboratory.

If i could change something in this course, i would change the quantity of hours there are in the week, i would like to have laboratory twice a week or maybe not waste so much time in activities that are boring and easy to do. Also i would like to do more experiments or something like that, i mean, i now that we are just begining in the laboratory, but i want more action and learn about chemical reactions and why did this happened or why not. 

A career-related website.

A career-related website that i visit with frequently is campusmathema.com. This website is about reinforcement of matters like chemestry, math and physics. It is for the PSU but i still have visited when i study chemestry. This website have sections of the differents matters, and this page is so good, because it has videos of teachers explaining the matter and in the section of chemestry, i know the teacher that teach and make the videos, and she explain so well the matter and is easy for me to understand ‘cause she taught me when i was in high school.

This page request an user, but when i was in high school, some people of the universidad central come to the school and give us the users and the passwords for enter to the website.

I visit this website before the tests in chemestry and it help me to clarify the doubts, but i think that this website will only help me this first semester because the matter that it have is kinda basic, so this page help more to the students that are in high school.

First Post

My name is Valeria Paz Zúñiga Salazar,  i was born on August  1st 1997, in Santiago de Chile. I’m the first child of my parents, Jessica Salazar and Luis Zúñiga. We are five in my family, i have a brother and a sister, and not least i have a dog.

I studied the primary school in Puente Alto, at “Domingo Matte Mesías” school.  Later, i passed all the high school in  the “Liceo 1, Javiera Carrera”. And now, i’m studying in the Universidad de Chile, what a surprise!

I really like to lost my free time in the internet, i think that is a world where you can do everything. I like to see movies, tv shows, videos in Youtube, read things or blogs, etc. An obviously, i like to be with my friends, and get out with them and do healthy things :D

Videogames!

Well, nowadays i play only league of legends. I would like to play more videogames in my computer but it is so old and slow, so I can’t play more videogames. I prefer the videogames in the computer that in consoles, I feel that it is easier to play and also I can speak with friends while I'm playing. In addition, now i don’t have free time to play, so I play in holydays or when the need to play is strong.

I remember that I played the classic videogames with my brothers, like Mario Bros, Crash Bandicoot, or guitar hero. When I was little, I played so much Ragnarok, I passed all the time in this game. I remember that I started to play 'cause my cousins played this game. Also, I played habbo, and it was addictive to me, to the point of spending money in the game.

Music the great communicator!

Music is so important in my life, i can’t  pass a day without hearing music. I feel that the music lock up in my own world, where i feel good and without problems or concerns.

I prefer listening music but i have tried to play an instrument like the guitar. It’s hard for me to learn to  play without a teacher, but thanks the internet i have learned some songs in this instrument.

My favorite style of music is rock and his derivations, like alternative rock, funk rock, metal rock , etc. This is the kind of music that i have in my cellphone, however i like all styles of music, i mean, i don’t dance with hard rock, you know.

My favorite band in the world, is Red Hot Chili Peppers. I like this band since i was in octavo básico. I like the rhythm that makes you want to dance and sing.

My Favorite Picture!

This is my favorite picture, because it makes me remember all the  times I lived with my friends in high school. In this day, our “goddaughters ”  gave us a present, that was a ballon with chocolates. Also, in this picture all my friends that were important in all the six years of my time at that school.

This picture was taken in the garden of my school, in one of the few benches that there were in the school. And this picture was taken by another classmate.

This picture is special cause I like the way we looked and we were in order, so it was a big
achievement. Also this picture was taken in the last months of the last year, so everything was so nostalgic, and we took many pictures in this day, because we wanted to keep each other in our minds.

Favourite pieces of technology.

This new machine like, smartphones, tablets or computer are new technology, where you can do anything that you want and you can get all the information of everything.

I got my first computer when I was eleven years old and it was like a tv with keyboard, it was so big! .Also I got my first cell phone when I was like twelve years old, ‘cause I started to travel alone in these year.

Practically I use my cellphone everytime, to talk with friends, to see videos, to listen music, and also, this machine have “touch” so I just put my finger in the screen  to do this activities in the cellphone. Sadly the battery doesn’t last a lot. Also I use it  when I can, my notebook for watching movies or playing something online, or just to have a little fun. My notebook is too old and the battery is practically dead, so I have to keep connect it, and I use it with the keyboard and the mouse, just that simple.

I like this technology because in a little thing you have everything, all the information, all the news and you know what happen in the world, too  I can carry it with me all the time.

I think that the life without this new technology will be more difficult for everyone, especially for the more young because we have to come back to have books, and looking for information would be more difficult. Also I think that without the technology, the society would be more “sociable” like the name says.

Why i chose this career?

Actually i wanted to enter in chemistry and farmacy in first option in the Universidad de Chile , but i wasn’t selected, and my second opction was chemistry.

Whatever, i like this career and i choose,  because i like science, especially chemestry. I hope to discovered things news about the science and make things better in the environment and for the people in the world. Also, this career have so many opportunities in differents Jobs, like industry, investigation, helth, everything!

In the beginning,  i wasn’t good in chemestry, actually i have really bad notes, but  thanks my teacher i started to “love” this part of the science  and tryed to learn and have good notes in the matter. And i undestand that it isn’t easy and i have to pushed myself so many.
